Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Gurun Academy, the Mongolian partner of the World Class Manager by the Global Growth Institute, has offered a free online course to provide world-class skills for 1,000 teachers, principals, and managers of the general education schools (GEC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports (MECSS) of Mongolia.
Hundreds of managers from 500 companies from 50 countries take the World Class Manager course designed to raise the skills required to stay current in modern times and provides practical, and actionable tools that can be put to immediate use for prompt impact.
The three-month course kicked off on March 22 and the participants who have successfully completed the course have received their certificate from England. Organizers of the course highlight that throughout the course, principals, teachers, and managers have demonstrated active participation, leadership skills, and aspiration.
The World Class Manager curriculum taught the participants core foundational skills to enhance their impact as leaders and how to build the managers’ skill sets by incorporating critical skills to excel in the effective delegation, coaching, feedback skills, and on how to have difficult conversations, and managing conflict.
During the launch of the course, MECSS Minister L. Enkh-Amgalan said “Kindergartens and schools play an important role in preparing and training a ‘proper Mongolian person’ with good character traits amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the 21st century that is shaping global education differently. Personal and organizational leadership as well as leadership in the education sector are key to the educational reform and to the training of world-class managers.
Founder and CEO of the Gurun Academy B.Davaasuren said in her remarks closing the course, “The outcomes of our previous valuable internationally recognized and verified programs to teach new capabilities and skills to private sector specialists prove that huge impacts that could be created by providing this course to build the capacity of government organization specialists. Therefore, we believe that it is of significant importance to develop and strengthen the skills of teachers, who are preparing the new generations of our country, to a world-level as part of our social responsibility.”
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the education sector, the Gurun Academy, MECSS and Science and Denk Pharma Mongolia are supporting the ‘Proficient teacher’ program. Denk Pharma Mongolia also provided training to equip the teachers with the knowledge and skills on health and health-related education.
Since 2015 with the aim to deliver world-class educational content officially to Mongolia, the Gurun Academy is maintaining successful cooperation with Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies, the well-known English Eton College, and the Global Growth Institute.
